Lost In Music: NZCA Lines- Pure Luxury

Still from the video

Described by Michael Lovett, the man behind NZCA Lines as “a gender swap of Gentlemen Prefer Blondes ” this video, co-created with Alina Rancier, is a technicolour explosion, and a brilliant satire on mass consumption during one of the toughest times in living memory.

The track is great, too, like a 2020 spin on the late genius Prince. It was inspired by a Manhattan heatwave in February and certainly feels like a fever dream  Right now, it feels like all you need. Look for the (unsubtle) reference to American Psycho too. Pure luxury, pure pop.

Pure Luxury is out now via Memphis Industries.
