Today, we made history. Organised by teen activist Greta Thunberg The Global Strike put the impetus worldwide on climate change. We joined school kids, families and teens in their thousands at Kelvingrove Park before marching to George Square.
The evidence is obvious, especially on one of the hottest days of the year in late September. Our planet is feeling the effects of consumption, greed and capitalist hierarchy. Structures are toppling. The people have spoken. We want a future.

The thing is, MOST of us know these kids are right. It’s an uncomfortable truth sure. Perhaps there are many who won’t live long enough to see fully take place but deep down we all know they’re correct.

True. Greta Thunberg is a hero. Wish I’d had her gumption and savvy at 16. Just a working class kid in rural Scotland. People are listening now, judging by the numbers yesterday. If we can change a few minds, it’s a start…
